RIOT V CELEBRATE 50 YEARS OF HEAVY METAL WITH A SPECIAL CYPRUS SHOW
Riot V return to Cyprus on November 11 with House of Treason opening the night at DownTown Live Nicosia
Five decades of heavy metal history are coming to Cyprus.
Riot V , the legendary American heavy metal force born from the legacy of Riot, will return to Cyprus on Wednesday, November 11, 2026 , for a special anniversary performance at DownTown Live in Nicosia .
The Cyprus show forms part of the band's “Hail To The Warriors Tour 2026” , celebrating 50 years of Riot with a special setlist spanning the band's remarkable history and featuring songs from across its extensive catalogue.
For fans of classic American heavy metal, this is a chance to experience the music of a band whose history stretches back to 1975 , from the early Riot releases through the landmark Thundersteel era and beyond. Riot V continue to carry the musical legacy established by founding guitarist Mark Reale , bringing the band's classic material to stages around the world.
HOUSE OF TREASON TO OPEN THE NIGHT
Joining Riot V for this special Cyprus appearance will be Cypriot heavy metal band House of Treason , who will kick off the evening and set the tone for what promises to be a night dedicated to heavy metal.
House of Treason have been building their presence within the Cyprus metal scene with their own material, including the 2025 album Alarm and their 2026 release ** Origins **.
The combination of one of America's historic heavy metal names with one of Cyprus' active metal acts makes this a particularly special night for the local scene.
RIOT V – 50 YEARS OF HEAVY METAL
From the raw energy of early Riot to the power-metal foundations laid by Thundersteel and the band's subsequent releases, Riot's influence can be heard throughout generations of heavy metal.
Now, five decades after the band's formation, Riot V are taking their anniversary celebration on the road with a set designed to revisit the songs and eras that have made the name Riot synonymous with classic American heavy metal.
Following their previous Cyprus appearance at DownTown Live in 2024, Riot V return to Nicosia for another night with the warriors.
