About this event
"I Koilia" (The Belly) is a solo theatre monologue by Marina Vronti, performed at Ktirion 53 in Nicosia from 11 October to 8 November 2026. Directed by Stavros Potamaris and performed by Marilia Haridimou, it blends humour, anger and tenderness. The show runs approximately 60 minutes, with no interval. Tickets start from €12. Phone: 70001384.
What to expect
The monologue follows a woman across different stages of her life: from a child learning to see herself through the eyes of others, to a young woman falling in love, to a mother watching her body change. Each age leaves its mark, and each change carries both a loss and a new version of the self. Laughter becomes a doorway to truths that are rarely spoken aloud. The production invites audiences to listen closely to what the heroine was taught to hide, and to recognise that motherhood does not erase the woman who existed before, just as a body never stops telling its own story.
