Cyprus has two international airports in the government-controlled area. Larnaca (LCA) is the larger and sits right beside the town of Larnaca; Paphos (PFO) is on the coast south-east of Paphos. Neither has a railway, so the choice is between a bus, a taxi or transfer booked ahead, and a hire car.
This page shows the public buses that leave each airport with their departure times today, the distance to the main towns, and taxis, car rental and parking from the Cyprus Atlas directory.
Bus times: open data of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works (scheduled times, not live). Distances are by road and approximate.
How do I get from Larnaca airport to the town?+
Larnaca airport is about 5 km from the town. Public buses leave from the airport bus stop through the day; the page shows the next departures. A taxi takes a few minutes.
How do I get from Paphos airport to Paphos?+
Paphos airport is about 15 km from the town. Public buses link the airport with Paphos; the page shows the next departures from the airport stop. Taxis wait outside arrivals.
How far is Larnaca airport from Nicosia, Limassol and Ayia Napa?+
About 50 km from Nicosia, 70 km from Limassol and 55 km from Ayia Napa, by motorway.
Is there a bus at night?+
Public buses stop in the late evening. For a late arrival, book a taxi or transfer ahead or take a taxi from the rank outside arrivals.
Should I book an airport taxi in advance?+
Taxis wait at both airports at all hours, so it is not required. Booking ahead fixes the price and is worth it for a large group, child seats or a long journey.
Can I hire a car at the airport?+
Yes. The rental companies have desks at both airports. Remember that Cyprus drives on the left.
