First of all, the Plastic Surgeon you visit must have a Specialty title in Plastic Surgery recognised by the Greek state and be a member of the Hellenic Society of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (HSPRAS).
Depending on the severity and the type of procedure being performed, general anaesthesia, epidural anaesthesia, sedation (hypnosedation) or local anaesthesia may be used.
Before every surgical procedure, a pre-operative check and medical history are taken by your plastic surgeon and the collaborating anaesthesiologist. Provided all necessary measures are taken, the risk from anaesthesia is infinitesimal.
Some women cannot breastfeed even if they are not operated on. There are techniques that do not disturb the milk ducts of the breast in a percentage of about 80%,,thus preserving future lactation after pregnancy.
Breast drooping is usually corrected surgically with mastopexy or with breast augmentation or with a combination of both procedures. It is very important for the plastic surgeon to choose the appropriate technique, after first discussing every detail with the interested person.
Bags under the eyes are corrected by removing or repositioning the fat and excising skin if this is necessary. Bags and excess skin on the upper eyelids are also corrected surgically. The result of blepharoplasty is limited to the eye area and not to the rest of the face, and the gaze becomes lighter and more rested.
